Our building and pest inspection software has been designed to run on the iPad. This ensures that anyone anywhere can use our building inspection software in Sydney or anywhere in Australia.  When you buy our building inspection software you will get Templates for Pre Purchase Building & Pre Purchase Pest Inspections. What to Check in a Reporting Workflow

Building inspection software should help the inspector record evidence clearly. A template is useful only when it can be adapted to the property and the agreed scope. Check how the workflow records the inspection date, accessible areas, limitations and the location of each finding. These details help another person understand what was inspected.

Photographs should remain connected to their descriptions. Keep original image files where possible and make sure exported photographs show the detail needed. A report should distinguish a visible observation from a suspected cause or a recommendation for further investigation. Software cannot make that professional judgement for the inspector.

Review the Report Before It Is Issued

Check room names, image references, measurements and the consistency of each finding. Remove template statements that do not apply to the property. Confirm that the report explains access restrictions and does not imply that concealed areas were inspected. Keep a final copy and the supporting records using appropriate access controls and backups.

Building inspection software also needs to suit the intended deliverable. A general inspection report is different from an expert witness report prepared for proceedings. Where litigation is involved, review the current NCAT procedural directions and the case-specific orders. Awesim’s expert reporting service explains the separate technical reporting scope.
