NCAT Expert Witness Reports in Glen Innes for Building Disputes

When my mate hit a snag with his Glen Innes home renovations, he didn’t know where to turn—until Awesim Building Consultants stepped in with their NCAT Expert Witness Report. Glen Innes, with its charming Federation-style cottages and solid rural properties around the New England Highway, often sees its fair share of building disputes. Whether it’s a weatherboard needing a touch-up or a sturdier brick home showing cracks, these kinds of issues are quite common here. That’s exactly where Awesim’s expertise shines.
I was told their reports don’t just tick boxes—they align with the National Construction Code (NCC) and Australian Standards, which is crucial. The turnaround time? Fast and accurate, something my neighbour appreciated when he was racing against NCAT deadlines. Plus, there’s no guessing game with their fixed price site inspections and reports. You get clear costs upfront, saving you from unexpected fees during what’s already a stressful process.
What’s reassuring is their offer of an obligation-free quotation—no pressure, just solid advice to help you decide your next step. My friend said the team made the whole situation feel manageable; they explained everything like a mate would, not some jargon-heavy consultant. And with 35+ years in building and construction and over 15 years specialising in expert witness reports and Scott Schedules, Awesim clearly knows their stuff.

Resolve Your Building Dispute With Confidence
When my mate Dave found himself tangled up in a NCAT dispute over his Glen Innes renovation, he was daunted by the whole process. What helped him sleep better that night was getting Awesim Building Consultants on board early. They know this area inside-out and understand how tight NCAT’s deadlines can be — so starting early gave Dave the calm confidence he needed to prepare a strong case.
Awesim’s expert witness reports come from over 35 years in building and construction, with 15+ years specialising in NCAT cases and Scott Schedules. Dave told me their fixed-price investigation meant no surprises, and their fast, accurate reports were exactly what the tribunal needed. Plus, knowing the reports are designed to withstand scrutiny in NCAT and court proceedings took a huge weight off his shoulders.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I called Glen today as I was concerned with how the builder was rectifying an issue with how our showers were installed. We had established this week that our builder from 3 years ago who renovated our bathrooms had not followed code amd installed the incorrect flange while also not cutting and gluing the pipes. Our pipe from the shower fell out which uncovered the issue. I had a challenge with the builder accepting the issue but eventually he sent his plumber on site who agreed it was all done incorrectly and the builder agreed to rectify it. We asked the builder to outline how they were going to rectify and ensure the waterproofing and run off was being done to code. The explanation wasn’t satisfactory and they went ahead with a localised solution, see picture attached. Not being an expert but I could clearly see the rectification process was not appropriate to resolve the issue and have appropriate waterproofing to code so I sought out some expert independent advice and that’s when I called Glen. Sent him the details and all the pictures on the issues and he said he would set out an email for me to send to the builder. But Glen went one step further and called our builder and explained what they were doing was not correct, the possible implications of that and explained to them what they should be doing. Glen got the builder to agree and has subsequently sent a scope of work to the builder on what exactly needs to be done in a step by step method. What an absolute legend Glen is and he wouldn’t accept any payment for doing this. If you are in a similar scenario, then I couldn’t recommend Glen enough.+1Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend Glen from Awesim Building Consultants. From the moment I spoke with Glen, I knew he was very experienced and well versed in the NCAT process, particularly when it comes to issues arising from failed bathroom waterproofing. Glen provided clear, practical and realistic advice throughout the process. His knowledge and understanding of the technical and tribunal requirements gave me a lot of confidence in how to approach my matter. His quote was detailed, reasonable and extremely clear about exactly what was covered, which I really appreciated. As reflected in the other reviews here, I can confidently recommend Awesim Building Consultants to anyone facing an NCAT building dispute, particularly if you require an Expert Witness Report or Scott Schedule. Thanks Glen for your professional and practical assistance.Posted on Google![]()
